How to use proxy with nodus.

Download the nodus 1.8 hacked client here (or the 1.5.2 hacked client here). With nodus, go to Multiplayer –> Account Settings. Now go here and pick a proxy with both bars (connection/speed) in the green. In nodus Account Settings, put the IP of the proxy followed by the port.  It should look something like this: 80.91.190.188:8181 You should now be able to bypass IP bans! But beware, nodus proxies are glitchy. We also have a socks proxy tutorial for Ace of Spades 0.75.

We also have a tutorial from Alan_G:

“1) Goto http://hidemyass.com/proxy-list/
2) The Box Below Shows Different Selections. Look at Box (Protocol)
3) Untick Http & https. Leaving Socks4/5 Ticked.

Find A Server You Wish, Better Servers To use Are The Ones With, Green *Speed* & Green *Connection*

Then Just Cop The Ip & Port and Paste Into Your Minecraft Proxy Bar.

Note: Some Proxies Don’t Work So When You Refresh Your Page, No Servers Will Be Able To Join. Easy To Fix, Go Back To Your Proxy in Minecraft, Leave The Box Empty And Just Click *Select* Done. All Servers Are Able To Join, And Just Keep Repeating The Steps To Find a Working Proxy.”

Hope This Helped A Little More.

Hello I got the proxies working fine (a bit slow) but all you need to do is find the proxy list on Hide My Ass and untick HTTP / HTTPS and list all the SOCKS4/5 proxies

    • You’re right Alex. Thanks for your input 🙂

    • can you explain that in noob english plz?

      • Ok Little Late Reply. But if i’m looking for it, i can’t be the only one 🙂 here’s how you do it. Plain and Simple.

        1) Goto http://hidemyass.com/proxy-list/
        2) The Box Below Shows Different Selections. Look at Box (Protocol)
        3) Untick Http & https. Leaving Socks4/5 Ticked.

  3. guys listen,
the only way to use proxy’s is if the server has offline mode ON.
so only on cracked servers works the proxy(bypass)

    any question?

    send to my e-mail later_wouter@Live.nl

    • Thanks for your input… but I have used it on a cracked server before (e.g. offline mode OFF). Thanks for understanding. If I’m wrong, you can reply to this 🙂

  4. how do i take a proxy off? please help i cant play on any servers because it says something about socks

  5. So when I log in to multiplayer > account settings > add > I type in a username and password for another account > Select it > proxy > and I add a proxy > login that is where it freezes. I can’t do anything not even close Minecraft. I have to force quit it. Why is this and how can I stop and and use a proxy correctly. ALSO. Is it true that proxies only work on offline servers? D:

    • Nodus proxies are glitchy; it is best just to do it straight with IP changing field in Account Settings. Also, proxies should work with all servers but being an offline player I’m not exactly sure 😉

  6. it says communication error no matter what i do 🙁

  7. sorry timtech i like revenge better

  8. I can’t find the add in Nodus Multiplayer settings or account settings or anything… Help?

  9. Do you mind if I quote a few of your articles as long as I provide credit and sources back to your blog?
My blog is in the exact same area of interest as yours and my visitors would really benefit from some of
the information you provide here. Please let me know if this okay with you.
    Cheers!

  10. Well how do u get the proxie list to work I cant figure it out

  11. I’m confused on what to do with the port. What should the finished ip and port look like? (123.456.789:25565?)

  12. Can’t find any Proxy servers that are 4/5 socks. Is it just me or…?

  13. Tim, I Try to connect to a cracked server im banned on and it says ” Proxy Deteted or something” Can u help me? Heres the server —> mc.minecraftint.com

    • It seems that this server prevents logins from proxy servers. About 2% – 5% of all servers do this. The only way to get around it is by trying different proxies until you finally get one that is not in the server’s proxy list.

  14. Tim, Could u do a video tutorial? If u can thanks alot.

    • I will if you can tell me why you are doing this proxy:

      1. You were IP banned
      2. You were username banned and the server only allows 1 account per IP
      3. You’re just curious

If sounds to me like option 1 but it could also be option 2.

  15. Tim, I’ve Tryed ike 10 and it comes up with “JavaSocks timed out (or something)” or “Proxy detected (something else)” Can u Help me find a proxy that bypasses this?

    • Your first error means the proxy is not working.
Your second error means the Minecraft server you are trying to access doesn’t allow connections from proxies. In this case, try searching for “socks4/5 proxies” in Google and try some others from different website. Chances are, all the ones you are trying now are in the Minecraft server’s proxy list.

  16. Sorry Tim But heres another one, It says “java.net.SocketException: Connection Reset” Everynow and then?

  17. Tim, I’ve tryed heaps but none work.

    • What you need to do? Play through a proxy because you are IP banned or register a cracked account to play from your normal IP?

Make sure you enter the proxy IP, a colon, and the proxy port. No spaces!
It should look like this: 34.96.230.176:1080

So if a proxy had the IP 34.96.230.176 and its port was 1080, you would type in the example above; but from what you’ve been saying, I think you’re entering it correctly already.

  18. Hey, stop spamming. Advertising is ridiculous, don’t do it. Please.

  19. @timtech it says java.net.SocketException: can’t connect to SOCKS proxy:timed out connection ?
    i was username banned

  20. Tim, sorry but when I try to download the nodus file it comes up as invalid or corrupt jarfile. What seems to be the problem? My real minecraft jar still works fine.

    • You have to launch it with the launcher. It sound like you are directly clicking on it. If not, try getting it elsewhere 🙂 You did download it from this page, right?

  21. So, i play minecraft 1.7.2 and I can’t find the PROXY button under account settings! please help mr awesome!

    • I’m not going to be of much awesome help – nodus hasn’t been produced since the release of the new Minecraft launcher. 1.5.2 was the latest supported version. Could you give me a link to your nodus jar file? Thanks 😀

      • i have the same problem but i leave you my nodus.jar file link here:
        [removed]

        • Nevermind the link; I forgot we had a Nodus released for 1.8. Things have changed in the new updates, and I’ll have to update the tutorial if built-in proxying still exists.

  22. how u get a krono proxy adress
