Are you trying to play Minecraft on a network that restricts Internet access? Perhaps a proxy is in place to prevent SOCKS connections? Or maybe there is an issue that’s preventing you from logging in to your Minecraft account?
In order to address these issues, we’ve released an “unblocked” version of Minecraft 1.13. Remember that this is for singleplayer and/or local servers only, as you won’t be able to authenticate with online servers.
Note: Although this version still works perfectly fine, we also just released an unblocked version of Minecraft 1.15, which includes the latest updates and may be easier to install for Windows users.
What’s new in Minecraft 1.13?
- New terrain, including shipwrecks, icebergs, and buried treasure!
- New blocks, such as kelp, sea pickles, turtle eggs, and blue ice!
- New animals, including dolphins, turtles, and over 2700 types of fish!
Step 1: Downloading (in an unrestricted environment)
- You must download the unblocked version at home or someplace that has an unrestricted Internet connection.
- Make sure you have a program installed that can download from “magnet” links. If you have never downloaded magnet links before, qBittorrent is a free, open source option.
- Click here to download the necessary files. You can either click on the magnet link to launch qBittorrent, or copy the link into the download queue.
- If you want to use Minecraft on a blocked computer, consider copying the files onto a USB drive or SD card.
Step 2: Installing (in the restricted environment)
- On Windows, you need to install Minecraft from the “windows” folder. You may also have to run the Java Installer from the “windows” folder as well. Once everything is installed, you can launch it from the Desktop or Start Menu.
- On Mac or Linux, simply open the “Mac & Linux” folder and copy the Minecraft Launcher to wherever you want. Then, double click to launch the game.
- Type in your desired username (this is very important for servers!)
- Once you have successfully launched the game, you can create / load a singleplayer world or join a local server.
