i have a problem i got server v4 and i started the luni server and it said MSVCP120D.dll not found what do i do pleaze help tim.
Like I said before, you must install Visual Studio first.

If you have MSVCP120D.dll it will just keep asking for more, different DLLs. There are dozens, at least. Try Visual Studio 2013 Express for Desktop.

1. You cannot create characters and play with them (even I allow character creation).
2. DMCA is useless unless you own the copyright on the work, but you do not because it is under GPL v3. Also, you must attach a signature to DMCA, another thing you probably didn’t do.

No, I have tried it. Raffa’s “SUtil” library does not allow it – however, I do have a version that does not use SUtil and it will work without VS2013.
-.- you are not a real developer you should know that only the .sln can be opened by the correct version of VS… but if you make a project with older version of VS (setting up things correctly) it will work… -.-‘

Does anyone know how to extract the .fev files in the music folders? I only know how to extract the .fsb files.
What exactly do you mean by “extract”? Convert to a standard format?
And maybe you could explain a little bi t about the process you use so I can see what will work with the .fev files.
.fsb files are files that contain many .mp3 or .wav files. That does not require less space, it´s just to have one file instead of more than 100.

The .fsb files of Lego Universe were encrypted. With a program calles “fsbguess”, I was able to find out the encryption code. It is “1024442297”. But this code does not work for the .fev files. They must have another code, but I am not able to find it out.
Thanks for the explanation. Unfortunately, I have not had experience with converting music files (especially encrypted ones), so I may not be able to offer much assistance to you.

Yeah, you missed information that proves you own the work, information to identify the work, and a statement that you swear under perjury that you own the server.
You cannot do this, however, because the server is under the General Public License (version 3).
I think this story will just make your reputation worse and kill the project:
1) You are just hosting a server someone else developed without giving full credits (name of all people worked to the project), nor you are linking to current sourceforge page. You can’t do that exactly because of GPL license.
I’m wanted to help with the project but I see you guys have some weird problem related most to this site, you are not a team, this will prevent me from help, because your behaviour just discourage people to join the project (at this stage that’s just a project and you already “host” it … lol.. you even claim to be a genius.. ).
2) You are hosting a project wich is in early development stage, crashes, missing features etc, if the project gain popularity at this stage, this will kill your reputation (even if you are hosting other servers like minecraft). Givin away responsabilities, give you protection from damages other people can get to their machines, but gives you no protection from rumors.
3)The early version of the server wich was opensourced under GPL v3 by LUNI original developers was not complete, just by looking at commits on sourceforge, raffa did great work on improving the server by reverse-ing few basics info from LUNI-packets, nor you or roboWarrior did that. So you cannot claim you did that, and you cannot negate raffa the right to claim he did that improvements (a thing that you did u.u).
You are infringin any law.. don’t know, probably yes, but no one will care. What is sure is that your are not nice to project’s contributors, and that’s enough to kill the project. No one will benefit from this, nor you, nor raffa, nor LUNI’s players. So why did you do that? Just to make everyone unhappy? O_O

You can use 0.5 as long as you have XAMPP and Visual Studio 2012 installed.
The only reason you would want Visual Studio 2013 is so you can compile the solution (.sln) and easily make changes to the server.

Okay, ether update your OS, or find legouniverse.exe, hit something like “revert mode” and hit windows 7 or windows 8.
What Operating System are you running? Windows or Mac? A version would also be helpful.

Have there been any more important updates since I last commented that I need to download? Just wondering as I haven’t actually managed to get on the game yet. Also Timtech, I’ve been hearing some less than flattering rumours about you. As I was trying to find this page again I cam across people saying what you are doing is illegal, you’ve stolen it from others and that you send malware with the downloads. I have noticed as well that you say you have been banned from the Luniserver forums. Can you explain at all what is going on?
First off, he does not spread malware, the LUNI is mad cause’ they gave him the server files, then later wanted his sever shut down, and he said no, They banned me from LUNI server too, just because I was from TimTech’s website

I really want to have the packets and change worlds, buteven though I try I still get that error

No, it’s still progressing. I don’t monitor external discussions so I can’t account for any rumors being spread there.
BTW when i try to login it says to try again in a few minutes how do i fix this?
Make sure the server is running; there is a status higher up on the page.

I cant login! i followed the instructions! It says “Sorry, blah blah blah”
What is the user/pass combo. I tried user = 1, pass =1 and it did nothing.

I can not log in, every time I try to log on there is always the name because it does not exist
Make sure the server is online when you attempt to connect to it.
Hey im having trouble! I downloaded the auth and character creation and it works, but when i downloaded nimbus station (recommended download has been deleted for some reason) the world server wont work, it says “termanated cannot connect to database.”
and i did follow all the instructions with visual studieo desktop. I do not program in this language, and wonder why it wont work. please help! (PS I WANT MY OWN SERVER)

where is the .exe file to launch
You must open the solution (.sln) and click the button titled “Local Windows Debugger”. Then, navigate to LUNI Server\Debug and it should be titled LEGO Universe.exe.

Contact Google all you want. The server is under the GPL and any new licenses or similar changes can not affect the older versions of the server.

The software was born in Italy and there is written (on wikipedia and in the Italian law, sayd 100 times) when something born in Italy (LUNI Server code was born in Italy cause I’m Italian) so it’s under Italian law!

the italian copyrights win in this case because the project was made in Italy by me… I’ve programmed myself and I have the file and the solution on visual studio (I can prove that because I have that and I’m Italian!)
Just give it up raffa50. What do you have to win? You’re not getting anywhere, and your end of the project is either a drastic failure or a copy of Timtech’s work. Fold your cards, dude.

Sad to hear this is slowly dying, but I’m overjoyed to be able to in a sense, play Lego Universe again. You truely have done amazing work, and I can’t thank you enough. – create account (custom username and password!) trought a cool cms
– create characters (up to 4)
– chat working
– fast, no LAG (no memory leaks!)
– travelling (not sure if I’ll be in time for this)

– Travelling hasn’t been implemented at all. Browsing through, I analyzed and found no trace of this.

I’ve followed the instructions, and launched the game. I get to the login screen fine but when I try to login it says “Connecting to Authentication”, then “Sorry, we could not log you in”. What does this mean? How do I get past this?
A new problem, when I log in a screen flashes quickly that says “Please enter your username/password and hit sign in to continue”. Then it sends me back to the log in screen. I believe the previous issue was to do with the server being offine.
I’m having the same problem. I tried my real Lego username/password as well as just numbers and nothing worked.
I have the same problem like you last time I played the sever it was fine. Also Tim can you make the sever be on all week like the sever will never turn off?

No windows 7, and I’ve played on the sever before. Its just that it gets stuck at world then it restarts like I just opened the game.
I don’t know about the server, but I say download Tim’s server 05, it’s RTR, so it is pretty easy to run, no set up needed

I actually tried to make my own sever but when I built it I had some errors. I think it might be my firewall. It also told me which file was missing I don’t remember the name ill check later. Another reason why it might be the problem is I downloaded ultimate not express vs. Just that part I get stuck on. I already can host the charter care ation sever I just need to know the anger to this problem and ill be fine. Sorry About my spelling errors on iphone
