      Well if you’d like to learn C++ that’s what the server is written in. Also, knowledge of binary and hexadecimal would probably be good.

    Okay, I am taking a 4 week break from LUNI(aka until U.S. summer) so I wont be devolving until Mid-May, but then I will be VERY active… But I will keep coming here.

    Side note: Just pre-ordered deluxe version of the best game of 2015, aka Battlefront(PC)

    I have my server up and running and I’ve changed my server config to be my IP that I obtained from searching “External IP” on Google. And I am using both the Zipped Nexus Client #2 and the server version 0.5.1 and when I try to log in either it takes me back to the beginning of the launch screen as if I have just started the game up, or it gets stuck on registering.

    Am I doing something wrong?

      Change it back to localhost 😉 you only change it to your external IP if you are hosting a public server for others to connect to.

        Just tried that, and now i’m getting a whole new error.

        I’m getting the error “Sorry! We could not sign you into Lego Universe. Please try again in a few minutes” upon trying to log in.

        Do you know how to fix this or are you out of ideas? :/
        Really want to play, hehe

          So 0.5.1 release redirect_ip=localhost

          Also make sure client’s boot.cfg has AUTHSERVERIP=0:localhost, and PATCHSERVERIP=0:,

            Actual server? If you mean public server, I’m waiting till we get user-specific SQL features, because there’s really no point in wasting money on something you could host yourself right now (since there is not really multiplayer interaction, there isn’t much point in a public server).

    I just finished making all 5 of my sites mobile-friendly due to Google’s algorithm change tomorrow (April 21). This means that users with mobile will be more likely to visit if they search with Google. There really isn’t that much change for most pages, but at least we won’t go down in the rankings 🙂

      Tim, just fix the display. And btw the menus are not good for mobile, as they’re meant to be rollovers (which doesn’t exactly work on touch, especially when they go off the screen!).

          WordPress has enough pretty themes to choose from 😀 😛 But really, there are some really nice, moderm themes available.

          Btw, on mobile the whole banner doesn’t show up either.

    i’m just posting what i posted earlier so you guys see it; There is no way to increase the server render distance; what if the server doesn’t have a set render distance; could you alter it then? Or is there a way to do it client-side? I want a way to be able to get people’s coordinates on faction servers xD If you find a way work on it and reply to this post :3 thanks!

    Hey anybody like the suggestion of having an app to be up to date with LUNI, have video tutorials up, comment on the site, and another section for faq/about LUNI. Thats an app I can make. well for the iPhone/iPad/apple watch with Xcode. Does anybody like that idea? Oh Ya and also android. :/ Everybody has iPhones! 😛

      In my country (Poland) Everyone have samsung galaxy, etc. I won’t pay… ALOT of money just for phone. lol.

        You should have seen the American people when Apple releases new products.
        The iPhone 5S which came in gold, had people lined up outside Apple stores that had the iPhone 5S upon launch for weeks or days camping in tents just so they could get it in the first few days of release.

        All for these shiny, overpriced pieces of junk with no computing power.
        I could buy a $400 PC that would run better than most of the MacBook’s that have been released in recent years, many of which can cost an upwards of $2000 USD, most costing between $1000-$2000 USD.(you can convert those amounts through google if you wish)

    Umm I didn’t mean to start a fight over Mac vs pc or widows os over Mac os. There both different.
    This is my mind:
    Want to play video games: windows
    Video editing or photography: Mac
    Xplane(flight simulator needing a lot of power): Mac
    Simple grandma just wanting to go on the Internet and don’t want to set up crap: Mac
    (I kinda forgot the other uses for pc but it’s still very helpful)

    I have a Mac. I’m not a gamer. I want an easy to use, easy to setup computer for the many things I do. And I also have a virtual machine for windows. That’s all I need.

    Don’t start a war.

      I don’t want to start a war too, but i want to add that if you don’t set anything unnecessary up (if you don’t do any crap on it like playing with the registry, deleting partitions and so on, if you buy a new computer and don’t install every software or toolbar you can find in the web), even old grandmas shouldn’t have problems to use the internet. The biggest problem (or advantage) of Windows is that it is programmed too (or quite) open. So, I think like you, Mac and Windows are both ok, but you can’t say that one of them is better, it allways depends on how you configure it. So, please don’t provocate us poor Windows users by telling them more arguments for mac than for Windows 🙂 The best thing would be if both companys would work together to create Macdows or Windintosh 🙂 that probably will never happen (it’s also impossible to build an OS on the sources of both, Mac & Win)

    Okay, let’s be real for a second.

    Is this project REALLY going anywhere? I mean SERIOUSLY, all we have is some understanding of how we can re-send packets of data (Loading a world,object,npc etc) and that’s about it. Sure, we may have a server design but we STILL haven’t even began on the idea of MULTI-PLAYER as you kinda need that for an MMORPG. We’re going to sit in a pit until we get someone with the knowledge of re-building something with such mass and complexity. We haven’t even getting the RM established yet.

      Let’s be real: You’re 100% right. The rebuilding of LU right now is a lot like the Wii U hacking scene a couple years ago. There are very few people with any real knowledge of how to do this stuff working on it, and those who are capable aren’t really releasing anything. There is some slow progress being made, but a breakthrough release is probably years away.

      I visit here a couple times a week on the off-chance that my optimism is not in vein and that a big release could happen at any moment. But honestly, the rational side of me says that if this project is ever going to take ground, it probably will not be until somebody else picks it up. Not to say that the people currently working on it are incapable, but they simply don’t have the time/motivation/people to make serious progress.

    Guys, honestly, I think I’m going to end my job as a LUNI dev…

    The reason is: I thought I had made a breakthrough with the launchpads… but the actual LUNI devs? They’ve got char customization, an RM, NPC’s, missions, launchpads, and more!

    They’re farther then us, and honestly, there’s no point for us to keep developing.

    Thus, I may take a vacation (don’t know if I’ll make it temp or permanent,) but, I feel that in the time we get one function working, they get three working…

    Not trying to be pessimistic, but it’s true.

      He is correct…I dont think you should have posted this Mator, but what he is saying is true… All of those LU enemy test and LUNi server progress videos were done by Darwin… Ldcr and humanoid24 are swamped with work, but Darwin is till developing.
      The only thing they havent done is enemies and building… NPCs quests… World travel, char customization… That is all done.

      But you didnt hear this from me 🙂

        The are nor releasing the source until later. Not sure how long it will be until they are done…

    Guys, You need to get official, You cant just be talking on a forum page: You sometimes miss important messages from people etc and its just not reliable, What i would say is create either a private forum and or a skype group

    Hey everyone. Darwin here.
    I wanted to set a few things right.

    -I don’t work with humanoid or lcdr. I talk to them from time to time, but I don’t work with them. I work SOLO on a project I called “DLU”.
    -I don’t have missions or RM working. I only said that I was working on trying to get them to work.
    -The videos Neal posted are sometimes stuff I did for fun last year with LUNI. I assure you, lu enemytest is a fake I made by accident but Neal and I thought it’d be funny as a prank video.

    I don’t know if any other questions need to be answered, but if you have any, please comment and I’ll reply when I have time.

    When I start the server and everything it all works until I make a character and launch the game, it just hangs at going to the explorer.

If you tell the truth even if you waned it for yourselves or waned to develop it and release it when your done, you will not be known as liars.     Ok im officially confused…where is the info regarding the release in a month? Who are the other LUNI devs who are farther than this site? As far as I can find, you guys are the closest!?!?!? Or im a wrong? I would love to play this game in a month. And it would be made a lot faster if everyone grouped up! Im mean seriously, whats the point of having one game across a wide set of clients and servers. I dont plan to ditch you guys though. I just need the site that everyone keeps talking about thatr supposedly says i can play LU again much sooner than this site plans to put it out.

    Sorry, I was NEVER going to tell about DLU, I was talking about LUNI! I don’t EXACTLY know what there up to, I am just picking up random things all over!

    I didn’t know it would cause this much turmoil! My post was more on how I was not developing, and the stuff about LUNI? How do I know? Random vids on YouTube, stuff pwjones has said, Plus, they aren’t coming to this site, what hurts users from knowing what LUNI is doing? I mean, the users might get really excited, but they can’t magically find the LUNI Devs and start asking questions! That is what alot of us are here for! Answering questions!

    I am again sorry, if I knew this would have happened, I would have not posted anything, sorry darwin, CDF, Tim, etc., etc.,

    And users on the site, (Rabbit21, Lego King, etc.,) all we can do is:

    Be paitent, LU is coming soon, we just need to wait for it to finish.

    I hope everyone can forgive me, and forget about what I have done, can’t we just all be LEGO Friends? (Sorry ’bout that joke too…)

    It is true though, I am ending my job as a dev, as of today I am stopping, I mean, the devs can do more for us and all we need to do is be paitent…

    Darwin is the one and only developer and he’s made amazing progress.
    I was privileged to test it. It’s truly beautiful.
    Darwin would only possibly release it if it were done.

    Guys any progress on Lego Universe I got Ungrounded thats why I wasnt on lately. I got grounded for 1 B and all A’s so any good progress happen??

    Umm… What happened? I leave for a DAY with a peaceful site and I return to see the entire community in an uproar about some secret project, Lego universe in a month, pwjones trying to calm people down, some new talk about Darwin, something about RM working and then it not working yet, unsure posts, references to (most likely) deleted things…. Just to name a few. What happened? I’m almost 101% (yes, thats 101%) sure we’re not getting LU back anything soon, or the RM.

    Also, hey Darwin! Saw your welcome on IRC… I left my account connected, that’s why I didn’t reply :P. Sorry. Haven’t seen you in a while!

      I didn’t delete anything off of here since it turned out not to be confidential… but as a site owner you’re used to this kind of stuff. A PHP plugin broke, Google’s algorithm updated, I got hacked, something else got hacked, something new released, etc.
