The server is up but the site says down, kinda weird.
So if I go to boot.cfg and replace LU.hopti.org with that I can go on another server?
yes but Luni Server Team is not authorinzing server, and giving updates
they’re working on minifig character creation, they have uderstood how character creation work and also they know how to change minifigure in game

Anyone have any idea what’s going on with the server? Site says it’s down but it’s actually up when you try logging on.
Yeah, we’re trying to switch to the LUNI Server 0.5 pre-4 by RealFlame but it’s kind of messed up because we’re using an older SQL database.

Yeah, could you just send be the latest version of the server itself (like the regular, updated server)? Most of my files are incompatible (including libraries).

How did the LUNI server team at sourceforge get the packets? I thought Lego archived/deleted them.
yes. But pjonwest (I don’t remember how it’s written) gave raffa505 and Luni Server Team a .rar containing a lot of packets…
However they are trying to generate packets ourselves / understading client packets…
Quite difficult since 1) character / world data might be compressed or crypted (or in the wrost case both)

Hi! I am really glad to see that someone still need LU. And i have a few questions: Can i play with my friend or can we at least see each other there? And how long it can take to restore the world most of the functions for the game to be playable?

You can play but not WITH friends yet because we are still missing a lot of the packets. Hopefully you will be able to do that in the near future. For the game to be playable, quite some time I guess.

Here is latest version already compiled (only need to put libmysql.dll where Luni Server.exe is) and there also is the sql (luni.sql). Fixed a bug.

RealFlameXen (and Timtech), i had a problem, when i open LUNI Server.exe it showing me that, “The program can’t start because libmysql.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem”. did you can fix it(Or tell me how to fix it)?

Choose CheekyMonkey instead of monkeybrown.
CheekyMonkey brings me to Nimbus Station, but I’ll try again when the server is back up.

No, Timtech has not been active recently, I think he wants us to make our own servers, to get him back in LUNI
Yeah, I can see you are trying to do something…..don’t know what….sometimes the site says servers are down and they are, sometimes they r up. ODD. but if your trying to get into the LUNI forums again, its not worth it. U are better then them. But if you really want to get in, update your repo version, get battle of nimbus station working, then say to them, look I know you have crux and ninjago, but I have enemies, lets work out a trade.

its not possible with this repo version, you would have to upgrade it.

No, we’re using different libraries in an attempt to have a more efficient server. Unfortunately, this means the servers are no longer compatible together. I would have to download their entire server (including libraries and world packets) to be able to run their updates.

On my own server, do I change boot to “localhost”?
and do I need to forward ports…? My internet is locked and I will be the only one playing, I think…
In boot.cfg, change AUTHSERVERIP to localhost
In the server’s config.ini, change redirect_ip to localhost
You do not have to forward ports unless you want to play with people that are not connected to your router.
Wouldn’t it be worth it downloading all of that if you could unlock enemies?
Sure! Problem is, it’s under lock and key (it could even be made up, for all we know). The LUNI Server forums aren’t really download-friendly…

Start xampp-control.exe with admin priviledges and start Apache and mySql
Go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin
Create a new database called luni (name must be luni) by going to database and typing in luniserver in the field and click “Create”
Click the new database and go to “Import”. Upload “luni-Database.sql” and click “Go”
When it is done creating, close the browser down.

When making a private server what files do you extract in step 5?
You only extract the nimbus station files, nothing more…
Don’t wanna sound rude, really think what your trying to do is awesome, but some of the bigger name people who are working on private servers claim your going to use this to remotely release malware. So I’m wondering to we have any reason to believe we won’t get malware from this?
That is a point…. though I trust timtech, its something to think about though….

No, he didn’t decide to cut from them. He got kicked out of the project for publicly releasing the progress that was made with the server. AKA he wasn’t smart at all.

yeah same here, cause ( no offense) you have not been on much, or update, or saying why it says the servers are down but R up and why the servers are only on for 1 to 2 hours

@TimTech. How it’s going tim? I’m working on data compression / decompression because world and char data is compressed with the huffman encoding (raknet stringcompressor, freqquecy table or bitstream compression)

you can’t really, how do you want to to prove it to you? If you are worried get a ANTI-malware software 🙂

I have a really good anti virus software, but still things can slip through. If it’s an accident ok, but I don’t want it distributed on purpose.
Well I have the whole thing, nothings gone wrong, just be careful with command prompt and BATCH files for wrong coding can sometime mess up your computer.

No, only the LEGO Universe servers hosted by the LEGO Company had that information.
