It’s something that’s getting removed soon. Just don’t download it unless you need no crashes… it has the same .pk files as before.
When will you remove it?
Once the new client is uploaded. There’s no problem with the one now, but you only need to download it if you’re getting crashes.
I read above- Where did you find this scam? I actually Google searched “Lego Universe 2″ And Lego Universe Revolved” Didn’t get anything… I’m assuming you saw it under the private server site, because that one is a scam.
I saw both if these guys on YouTube a year or two ago, doing absolutely nothing. They know nothing of packet decrypting, and I don’t really understand the “beta testing” thing. So they want your email so they can sell it to people or do they just want all the credit for previous guys’ work?
I think they do it so the public can’t just download files like they can here and say “oh, this is the LUNI Server”.
I think releasing new clients is just pointless. Unless you fix bugs or release new content.
This “hybrid” client is just the Mac client. Not kidding. Since it doesn’t crash, I definitely figured people would want it vs. the older one.
I downloaded the new client, but whenever I open a character, no matter which one it is, it opens CheekyMonkey on Nimbus Isle! Any advice?

I was pleasantly suprised by this, the venture explorer checksum works. The problem was that I spawned on the very bottom of the map, so I spend around 7 minutes flying strait up to the actual ship. The avant gardens one still doesn’t work, idk why
Didn’t 0.5 change worlds depending on your character? I’m confused.
The hybrid client did not change worlds depending on characters. The old one did before the cache closed though.

No. All worlds is pretty much our goal right now. The only other things that might be possible are custom chat and character creation and gameplay.
Spawning enemies actually could be put in, but the person II know who knows how to do it is busy on other servers until mid- next year.

Yes. The ReplicaManager is responsible for creating all entities in the LU World. I believe the other developers are currently trying to figure out and “decode” the RM packets… At least, I hope they are… I haven’t heard much from them lately.

It’s Easy You Don’t Have To Make A Account, Just Download The Client And Sever And Stop Talking Like This 😛

Look at the Tutorial and follow it, there is no full version yet plus accounts have already been made. Making your account and character is still a work in progress so your gonna have to deal with what we have now.
You’re right, accounts can be set up, but they really provide nothing since characters can only be created, and not saved or played with.

Yes, you have to comment out #define LUNI_NO_AUTH in one of the server files, and recompile the server. Then, you’ll need the following steps done before you start the server:
1. Download and install XAMPP and Visual Studio 2013 or later.
2. Start xampp-control.exe with admin priviledges and start Apache and mySql.
3. Go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin
4. Create a new database called luniserver by going to database and typing in luniserver in the field and click “Create”.
5. Click the new database and go to “Import”. Upload “luni-Database.sql” and click “Go” (close the browser when finished).

Yes. Server 0.3 only loads to 35%. Try using 0.5.
my youtube gets into detail about LUNI server. its “lego universe now” it gives you a solid tutorial on how to install and set up lego universe. i might do a new tutorial because the old one makes me sound really derpy.

Ok, I tested all the Checksums, and came up with a list of worlds that are currently accessible:
-Venture Explorer (Requires lots of flying)
-Avant Gardens Survival
-Battle of Nimbus Station
-Nimbus Isle
-Forbidden Valley Dragons (Glitched and Nearly Unusable)
-Frakjaw Battle (Glitched and Nearly Unusable)

It doesn’t have to be Nimbus Isle, you can edit the packets. The new client will be ready in less than a week, and it should fix the problems.

No, anyone can download files off your dropbox, but only when provided with the web address. I’ve done it.

The packets are too complicated to decode.
What Tim means is that it’s by no means a priority. There are other more vital things to get done, or try to get done, first. It’s not impossible to get done, it’s just very close to impossible, so they won’t even try untill everything else may or may not be in place.
And, what about quests ?

i honestly dont know. im not sure if its hard to implement or easy, or if its flat outright impossible. only time will tell.

Like I said, I don’t know about quests. One thing is for sure quests with monsters involved wont work properly XD, equipment and custom characters might happen, and travel will happen.
Quests have the same priority, because I believe they need the Replica Manager.

You can access all worlds by editing the packets.

I’m not an expert, but let me try to explain. I think that all the levels are available, but the hybrid client is preventing you from going to most of the worlds. So I think that Timtech is going to release an updated client that allows more access to worlds.
I figured all the levels were there, I was just wondering when he would allow them to be accessed.
It’s not like I’m trying to restrict access to these worlds. It’s completely the fault of the client. I thought this would patch the problem; it did fix crashes, but apparently some worlds can’t be accessed…
Can you patch that we don’t need VS2013 or you give us the .dll???

It should change your character, but not the map. This is normal.

I think that’s what he means. I think there is only one packet for the characters. Once again, I must state that I’m not an expert.
You’re right; most of the packets in the actual game use CheekyMonkey. This is normal. As long as you can change maps, you are fine.
Is there anyway I could use an older client to access all the worlds?
The 2nd original Windows client. But I think it’s corrupted (?) anyway I’ll be uploading a new one this weekend. That is, like, completely original.

Hopefully by Sunday. I’m having problems with all my clients. One works partially (hybrid), and one configured perfectly with the server, but crashes. So I’m merging files to try and combine these to work perfectly 😐
So is the new client coming out today or next Sunday? I hope it’s today, but I can wait if it means accessing all the worlds again.

Yes, there are missing sounds. I’ve added 10-20 new sounds in the “Restored” client (which I’ll upload tomorrow throughout the whole day).

i was wondering how you can enable mySQL on the server, i have setup mySQL and my own website. it stands mySQL disable when i start the server, if you know how to turn it on, i would be very happy.

So Tim, how big is this new client when unzipped? It bigger than 10 gigs that’s for sure. Uugh gotta clear some disk space… I need a new hard drive.

Already testing the checksums for the new client! So far, I’ve found that Crux Prime works! Complete list on the way!
Ok, I’ve checked all the checksums, and have the results! ALL worlds except Forbidden Valley, Nimbus Station, Gnarled Forest, and the racetracks are accessible! That means Nexus Tower, Avant Gardens, and Ninjago are all working! However Nexus Tower requires a lot of flying to get in, as well as a couple of the properties.
This is good. However, I remember Nimbus Station worked… and I really don’t know what happened 😐

Thanks. I’ll try Nimbus Station later today, it might just be a glitch with the character or something. Is there any way you could change the spawn points on some of the worlds so we don’t have to fly up to Nexus Tower and the Venture Explorer? It’s no big deal, but that’d be great.

When I tested the avant gardens survival map, there was a extreme lack of models around, including the monument, will those show up in the normal avant gardens or will it be the same issue?
Yes, the survival map was only supposed to be a very small walled in area, while the whole avant gardens is… Well, the whole avant gardens!

there used to be, now its like the others. you know the little thing you could queue up as a multiplayer battle on avant gardens? that’s the map.
You will most likely still have the same issue.

1. Can you please make the feature on a server where you can see other people in the same word?

I ment to have it like a computer like app.
What I mean is one lego universe one click and it opens on your desktop and all the files will be in your computer separately.

You need to enable MySQL to be able to register users. Any username/password combination works to log in by default.

Yes, you have to un-comment #define LUNI_NO_AUTH in one of the server files (World.cpp, I think), and recompile the server.

Okay did everything, but STILL doesn’t turn on? Do I need XAMPP on? Or mabye I didn’t decompile the server right, how should I do that? BTW the part you should un comment is in Common.cpp, at the top.
XAMPP needs to be running, make sure you followed the steps I gave you the first time. (Although I didn’t really mention XAMPP with MySQL and Apache have to be running when the server is running…)

Which client is this?
When I open the client, a white screen appears with Bob running in the middle and then the game crashes. This is the latest client. Is this problem happening because the server in boot.cfg is not a server that is on? ( the server isn’t mine )
Did you change boot.cfg AUTHSERVERIP to localhost?
This shouldn’t happen if there is no server or there is a working server. However, this sounds like the server itself is configured incorrectly, therefore causing the client to crash.

No, it’s to add some sound files that were causing problems when they were missing.
have you tried going into the plugins tab after downloading the HEX plugin? you just find the HEX editor sub-tab(?) and then click “view in HEX”

hey Tim I got it up and running but after I play certain worlds for a few minutes they crash ( like nimbus isle and gnarled forest) also I cant travel to different worlds.. I downloaded the newest client. also can we create our own characters yet?
you travel to different worlds by changing the checksums (tutorial on the FAQ page). what version server do you have? and yes, we can create our own characters, though we cant play as them.
I don’t know if I should download anything new but my stuff works fine, I’m missing some stuff for Gnarled Forest, otherwise works great….. I still can’t get into Nexus Tower though, due to not knowing the (x,y) coordinates. I could just upload mine if their is a bug with the newer one(though I really am just running the original client, I made some minor tweaks, other that though, it’s just an old client)
