Hey! I saw you on the Luniserver forums and I need just a bit of help compiling Luniserver. I downloaded the entire SVN, and I tried to compile LUNI Server.vcxproj, but I keep getting errors. DO I need to open the Raknet first, or some other file?

And VS 2013 won’t compile because that the project is incompatible and then it says it is missing some files. Do you know if anyone has a compiled version available for download?

You have to compile the solution (.sln), not the .vcxproj.

An error? Download the recommended client (1.10.64.1), then you can play.
P.S. As a response to your personal note, I am a very busy person. I have to eat, sleep, get an education, etc. I also have larger priorities that come first. I hope you understand.

yeah I do… are you operating on a desktop or a laptop,could that be a problem? Manifest is still a problem.
The server is full, then. It’s the only possible explanation.
I wonder what’s being updated at the moment for the server, maybe more worlds?
LU server repository (we changed to repository 22 instead of 18).

Once you download it, you have to extract and run it. It doesn’t automatically fix itself.
So its going to take 3 hours to dowload!

thanks for the new video! i downloaded it and extracted it twice now and it still doesn’t stop downloading manifest assets, is the recommended client download have the right files? please check i really wanna see nimbus station again after 2 years!!!!

Ok, so will you be able to update it? if you could get it all done today,that would be great. So what now? will there be more than one server, more minifigs, or different accounts? ( with all of these manifest could still possibly be a problem, I think) but if you do somehow program another account would you mind if you included an assembly all 3 rank 3 suits?

TO ALL : I know why you guys have this error with downloading manifest assets . Because example 5 people want to play but only 2 persons can play in server (in CheekyMonkey and monkeybrown ) because 5 persons want to play in same character . But it’s innacessible because he is already in world . And this is why you get Dissconect . We need to wait for update soo we could create minifig

To fix the manifest assets error you gotta change the patchserverip to PATCHSERVERIP=0:cache.legouniverse.com, also the capatcha is broke

Timtech i saw that raffa released r 26 version with character creation.
I was wrong . You can only create account with command . And server check if id and password are good .
What kind of command?
In LUNI Server.exe, type register and press enter.

And you need to say ID and Password . It saves in database . Soo if you will try to login. with example asd asd you will get error that this acc dont exists .

First of all, this problem will hopefully be resolved within the next few days. Regardless of what happens, I advise you not to let your anger escape you onto the Internet. Just wait a little bit first 🙂

A clone of you….kinda so you may be banned from this account but you will still be getting the files….how did he become “the ruler” first of all …Would you mind making a video or telling me how to forward the ports….me and friends still want to play and never got becuase of manifests assests 🙁

Possibly, in the future. Hopefully some people will start their own servers and we will have less load on the main one.
The world isn’t loading past 0%, and i dont know what the problem is. Is it because the server is full? Also, dont let raffa intimidate you.

When I heard the news of what raffa did just made me mad, because of his *ahem* ‘brakedown’ I am fearing that when this project is complete he will block us from playing and shut down the servers.

That’s the problem. I know C++ myself, so I can make improvements myself. However, having the official LUNIServer updates would be nice 🙂
When will this be released for MAC? I am really excited to see this project unfold and I hope I will be able to experience it like I did when alpha came out! Good luck! And will this be free? Also, will this be private and will only allow a small capacity of players on? Sorry about the questions, but one more. Will all worlds (released and unreleased) be open to us?

1. The client is available for Mac, which can be used to play on the main server. The server itself, however, due to technical limitations, must remain Windows-only. (If you need more details why the server is only for Windows, please ask).
2. This is open source, and completely free. Furthermore, it will remain free forever.
3. You can configure servers only to let certain user/pass combinations on (which is the setting by default). I only changed this to let everyone play 🙂
4. Yes! Anything that is possible to use with the server will be free, and released to the general public.
Okay, sweet! So when what is a rough ETA of the massive servers and full worlds running all at once? I mean, I’m super excited and would be willing to test it on MAC!

because of copyright laws, timtech cannot charge you for this game, the copyrights are by LEGO and you may not charge people, therefore it being free and timtech’s just nice

I just came across your project here and am getting it setup right now. One question, why is your server only for 2 people?
That’s all the valid packets I have, sorry. The server cannot handle multiple instances of the same person simultaneously 🙁
Do you think it will be able to have more players connect at the same time in the future?
Also one other question, I setup the server with XAMPP on my computer, but when I connect with the Full Windows Client, I can’t move at all. Is that intentional?
Yes, you need repository 34 files instead of 0.4 pre-release.

In your client folder, you’ll see a file called “boot” or “boot.cfg”. Open that up with Notepad or a plain text editor, and look for it there.

umm i went on the server its pretty cool in nimbus station, i neverhad a membership so this was my first time there but if i go to drag a rocket to the takeoff pad it justs reverts me to the login screen plz help. and no npc r loading. no mobs or anything

Listen, Tim. I understand the fact that you are releasing the server files isn’t illegal, but it isn’t fair to the guys at LUNI. I feel if the owner of the project wants something taken down, then you probably should respect that and follow through. It’s nice and dandy that you are allowing players to once again play a most-beloved game, but you should also consider that the guys at LUNI did most of the work putting the server files together, and you should respect them if they ask you to do something, even if they didn’t ask you in the nicest of manners.
This is just my opinion, feel free to remove it if freedom of speech isn’t your thing.
ok.. LUNI gives it out for free to ANYONE….well they used too….but really its illegal if you own a server and close it to the public. So really? Timtech is the goodguy.. raffa is the badguy… thats just how it is..
Could somebody please explain why it is illegal to write a program make it open source and then make it closed source? I am honestly confused why this is against the law.
It’s perfectly legal, at least in the United States. As far as other countries, I have not studied copyright laws extensively and therefore cannot speak on behalf of raffa, who lives in Italy. Try asking him 🙂
Raffa isn’t the “bad-guy”. No-one here is the bad-guy. I’m just saying publicizing and distributing something someone else made and then refusing to take it down when the developers request it to be taken down is unfair to the developers. Like I said, it’s nice and considerate act towards the players, but not in the best interest of the dev team.
It’s not like Raffa is going to permanently keep the server files to the LUNI team, he just doesn’t want the publicity around the project. Sure, he wasn’t polite about it, but I don’t see how that makes anyone a good-guy or a bad-guy.
Also, I do not believe closing the server to the public is illegal.
And timtech was a main developer. He did all the work for what he has.

Tim has contributed pretty much nothing to the LUNI server project other than spread it around to other users which is something that the LUNI server developers did you want. Any packets “provided” by Tim were PWJones’s as outlined here:

Hey, I’ve been able to get onto the server before, but now when I attempt to log in, it comes up with Connecting to Authentication, but then tells me that I can’t connect, even though it says 1/2 players online. Has something changed with the server or is it my fault?
No, that’s something server-side. You haven’t done anything wrong.
