Make sure PATCHSERVERIP=0:cache.legouniverse.com in the client’s boot.cfg. If this doesn’t help, try the asset folders in the client downloaded section.

You should download the whole client, and then with Winebottler run client\legouniverse.exe

when I downloaded the 0.5 server and try to open it says that file is missing the MSVCR120D.dll saw it downloaded the file and extract the folder to more keeps giving this error help me 🙁
You need to have Visual Studio 2013 or later installed.

So, I set up the server and everything. However, when I try actually launching Lego Universe, I get this message: “The archive is either in unknown format or damaged.”
What is my problem, and how can it be fixed?

Whenever I try to log in to lu it says ” Sorry we can’t sign you in to lego universe” I have changed the boot PATCHSERVERIP=0:cache.legouniverse.com and the AUTHSERVERIP=0:localhost.

Yes, although you can create your character in-game, without MySQL (which can be used) and packet construction on-demand (which cannot be done (yet?)) you cannot play with it.

Sorry, this doesn’t run natively on Ubuntu. However, a virtual machine will enable you to run the software.

I’m very confused, is this all broken right now? I have been messing around with different stuff in the config files, however whenever I start it and try to join my fully set up server (I have the auth and other ip set to localhost) something flashes on the screen for a fraction of a second the goes right back to the log in screen. When I looked at the server it said I was connecting. Can you explain what is happening? is this a problem with the “cache.legouniverse.com” thing, was that ever fixed?
What client/server versions? Also, make sure the AUTHSERVERIP=0:localhost (for the client) and redirect_ip=localhost (for the server).

so, the restored.zip file downloads to 403mb then stops completely.

No, missing packets causes this. Lag is due to a lack of processing ability.

So I downloaded the only client(green light), but in the /LEGO software/LEGO universe/client it doesn’t have the application.
Does that asset folder contain 3D models and textures? this might be a dumb question, but i don’t know much about how games store data such as that.

Unfortunately not, but we do except a bit more progress than we currently have.
TimTech, Yes. Because, TheNyJan told me, LU will be like the original (except LU Servers from before). And I saw in LUHub progress. The DEVs are working on it. Hard but everyone wants LU the same (as TheNyjan told me in freenode).
