Minecraft Earth Code Scans [2019]

Minecraft Earth is an augmented-reality version of Minecraft that is currently in early access. This means that there are several mobs that you can interact with for a limited time as part of early access, including the Moobloom, Muddy Pig, and Jolly Llama.

What are code scans?

  1. Launch Minecraft Earth and go to the settings menu. Right above the “Join Friend” button, there should be a newly added button for “Code Scan”.
  2. Scanning certain QR codes in popular international cities such as London (at Hungerford Bridge), Sydney (at Campbell’s Cove), and New York (near The Vessel) is currently the only way to interact and collect these limited-time mods. I’m about to show you how to scan the codes that I’ve provided to get these mobs without having to travel anywhere.
  3. One word of advice before we get started: if you haven’t downloaded Minecraft Earth yet, or aren’t on the latest version, I made a tutorial to show you how to install Minecraft Earth from APK to bypass certain regional restrictions. Once you have the latest version of the game installed, you can come back to use these codes.

How to scan the codes:

I only have one code available so far; it’s for the Jolly Llama which you can collect from New York, near the Vessel. Here’s how you can scan this code for yourself:

  1. First, you need to spoof the GPS location on your phone. If your phone doesn’t have this capability built-in, there are several apps that can do this for you. Set your location to “The Vessel, NYC” or enter the coordinates manually: (40.754, -74.002).
  2. Next, launch the latest version of Minecraft Earth, go to the menu, and click on “Code Scan”.
  3. Scan the code that I’ve provided, and enjoy your adventure! At the end, it will mention “a little gift for you” and then add the Jolly Llama to your inventory.

If anyone near London or Sydney has the other two QR codes for the Moobloom or Muddy Pig, I can add them to this tutorial as well.
