Hey, me and some friends were trying to get onto the server IP that you have on the page, we try to log in and then we get sent back to the login screen, any reason/fixes?

All I can think of is firewall problems. I receive two packets from each person attempting to connect, one username and one password. Then, I get a message that the “Client has disconnected”. It seems to be a problem on my end and I am attempting to fix it currently.
I tried changing the firewall settings and when I entered my username and password, it said Connecting To Work then it flashed a login screen that said “Connect with any user/pass then click Sign In” or something like that then it goes back to the normal screen.
Also could be needing to, if you haven’t already, port forward the ports for the server.
I already have. I port forwarded 1001, 2002, and 2003. Maybe I am missing a return port or something.
Do I need to install is first? like by opening the setup?
That will only get you the patcher by installing it.

Apperently when you log in and choose a character, it sends you back to the login screen. Take a look at it? Also, for me, can you put all the .pk files into a zip so I can download them all at once?

Hey! I couldn’t find boot.cfg but I found boot and changed the AUTHSERVERIP and then started LU up then entered anything in Password and Username then it just said try again in a few minutes, It loaded that pretty much imdeitly

Cool! Sounds like everything should be fixed! I’ll hope to try it out when I get back from church. Also 2 things since its a server we’ll be able to play together? And why did I have boot instead of boot.cfg? Also note I used the previous software of Lego Universe that I already had downloaded.

What Visual Studio do you use 2012 or 2013?
And is were the MSVCP110D.dll data.
I recommend VS 2013 Express for Desktop.
It automatically supplies you with the .dll files.
I have Windows Vista and can’t install Visual Studio 2013 can use Visual Studio 2012?

You have to copy libmysql.dll from the server 0.4-pre2 into some folder in your %PATH% environmental variable.

Yes, there should be no password.
I would love to use this, but I have a new computer and I threw away my old Lego Universe disc (because of the unfortunate shutdown). I no longer have the client. Could someone send it to me or provide me with a (working) link? I would highly appreciate it because Lego Universe was my favorite game and still is.

I was able to connect, but I can’t leave Nimbus Isle. When I drag a model out of my pack, the game logs me out.
Weird. Hopefully it’ll be fixed soon (this is as far as the server goes right now).

2 questions I have LU from when I downloaded it 2 years ago will this work for the tutorial? And anything else in boot that needs to be configured server name etc
No and no. You need extra .pk files, and that’s all in boot that you have to change.

Unfortunately I can’t get past the login screen as of this moment. I enter my username and password and then it gives me the old “We’re sorry – we can’t sign you in”. The top of the page here says the server is open. Help? Thanks!

That is no longer my problem. My problem now is I log me in choose CheekyMonkey 1% and then boom I came to the login.

Can you leave winter Isle because the shift button does not work and CTRL does not attack and when I try to drag my rocket out it logs me out….Just wanted to now that is not just me 🙂

You can’t leave it, and most world packets have not yet been decrypted.

When I log in and it takes me to the character select screen, my screen goes white then the game crashes. Would that be because of missing .pk files?

Well, it seems to be your client. You have to have the full client download from this site only. I am sorry, but this is the only help I can give you. Failing to download manifest assets means you don’t have the correct amount of PK files in res/pack.
I’ve downloaded the one you have recommended…. should I try A different one?

GET THIS I saw a compressed file so I un zipped it and now it does not work…. I un-did it and it still says the same thing now…. could you make a video of you downloading it from you website and starting it?
Should I download with a different browser would that change anything???

When I try to download the full LU zip file with the Chrome extension DownloadAll, after an hour or so, it says the precent is -63.06 and it fails, any reason why, it’s REALLY slow using Chrome’s built in download system.
It could be that like 20 people are downloading it at the same time :]
Yes I had that problem too…timtech will know better than me but your options are
1. re-start your computer
2. uninstall chrome and re-download it
3. Download using firefox
4. Download more than one at a Time
5. Use my awesome powers to override the computer(joking)
And I just wanted to mention this I kinda feel timtech does not know how to answer my questions therefore he does not reply to them…timtech no offense
but if you see my question try to find way to fix something or post your option or just say ” that shouldn’t be happening try other ways to download or if you have missing files.”

No, you do not. You can merely extract and run the full client from anywhere.

If you are getting a downloading manifest assets messages do the following
go the lego universe downloads then to PK files then to parent directory
then find the world you are trying to enter and download the missing files!
If you then take the Ultimate Lego Universe Server have,
then you ask him available?

I think it is a Server problem the Server connection are different for one User we are all Login with the same Name of Minifigure we are don’t login then anywon login.

OK, also the problem are not the .pk files it is the Database Netdevil has used table form for the Online Game so we are loging in and we are going not to play a few seconds/minutes later boom connection failed it is so at the past we have us Login with us LEGO-ID but yet we are Login what we do and we use all the same Minifig with the same ID so IF one Login THEN IF another Login in the Game THEN boom there with the worst connection = connection failed dwonloading manyfest assets. My solution is

How often will you be updating the server to make more features available? Do we have to update the client each time? Will it be possible to access our old characters if we have our old LU files?

the downloading manifest assets is STILL an issue, i dont mean to be mean, but im kinda pissed
yeah,same here… I have the recommended full client and it still says that download manifest assets. Never have got into the game since nimbus isle.
Can I just check a something here, because I’ve had this problem myself, and I think I’ve found a fix:
1) Have you done any editing with the char_aw files to change the world?
I only really know the solution from having done this myself. I would recommend always having a backup of a working file.
RoboWarrior’s comment about Nimbus Station seems to suggest that these files were changed, in that scenario, I would recommend reloading the LUNI server zip file, I have a spare copy saved for this purpose, so you can put the original files back.
Otherwise, I am not sure I can do that much to help, I’m pretty new here, although I have been watching this project for a little while. I would recommend reloading all the relevant files if nothing else works. From what I have noticed, these problems may occur naturally, or with typos, and then you need the original char_aw files to be able to get it to work.
NinjaOfLU, this is an old client issue 😉 Jon002 helped us sort this out with help from startreklover and CDFalcon.
